Temper Technology´s ECO MPG is the best environmental choice of MPG out on the market. This due to its very low carbon footprint, ECO-MPG reduces CO2 balance of not less than 70% compared to petroleum-based propylene glycol. ECO-MPG is based on an inexhaustible supply of renewable raw materials.
ECO MPG is a ready-mixed mono propylene glycol solution with an efficient corrosion inhibitor and is readily biodegradable. It is available in six different freezing points -10, -15, -20, -25, -30 and -35°C.
As ECO MPG is a non-toxic heat transfer fluid it is a favorable choice for refrigeration in the food industry.

Traditional corrosion inhibitors create a protective layer up to some micrometer, that works mechanically, and prevent corrosion but it also reduces the heat transfer.
Temper Technology AB’s corrosion inhibitors is of adsorption type, which is the newest and probably the best type of inhibitors available. Our corrosion inhibitors only form local temporary protective film. The protective film is of almost molecular thickness, only some hundreds of the traditional mechanical layer.
Our corrosion inhibitors package is smart in the sense that when analyzing the concentration of the inhibitors it gives you an indication of the complete system corrosion status.
The inhibitor protect most of the common construction materials such as; cast iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass (dezincification resistant), aluminium, bronze. Not suitable material are for instance; zinc, galvanized steel. Suitable brazing are copper brazing solder and silver brazing solder.
Tin solder is not suitable.

ECO-MPG reduces the CO2 footprint no less than 70% compared to petroleum-based propylene glycol. ECO-MPG is based on an inexhaustible supply of renewable raw materials. Our ECO-MPG has 70% less environmental impact, 1398 CO2eq per tons than petroleum-based MPG compared to petroleum-based MPG that have a climate impact equivalent to 4600 CO2eq per tons in terms of production from cracked oil. Glycerine is converted into ECO-propylene glycol using the latest technology. The raw material, Glycerine, for this conversion is obtained as a byproduct during processing of animal fats and vegetable oils in the production of oleochemicals and biodiesel.
