In heritage buildings, where it is critical to preserve buildings with delicate and valuable items, the fire protection is essential. Temper S is often used in parts of the system exposed to frost, as it contributes with both frost protection and an immediate suppression of a potential fire.
In Bykle old church, in the Setesdal Valley in Norway, a water mist fire protection system with Temper S as antifreeze was installed in 2013 to minimize and reduce any possible damage in the event of a fire. The church is constructed of logs, and has been restored several times. The church, with its altar from 1619, was completely renovated in 1804 when two galleries and a spire were added.
Temper S-30 is used to cover the potential frost range in the parts of the system exposed to frost. 150L is filled in a high pressure system with stainless steel piping.
A safe system – Immediate extinguishing in the event of a fire due to wet piping systems and with Temper S a very effective suppression of the fire.
