Logistic Center – Fresh Pack Distribution Center
To secure the quality of fresh products in an unbroken cold chain is one of the cornerstones in food chain logistics. One of the biggest producers of fresh fruit and vegetables in Europe is The Netherlands. They demand an energy-efficient and environmental safe storing of fresh products. Temper as HTF and NH3 as primary refrigerants in secondary systems is a popular choice.
In the heart of The Netherlands, a giant fresh pack center is using Temper as Heat transfer fluid. One of the main supermarket chains in Holland has together with a logistic company built this over 40 000 sqm large fresh pack center.Pre-packed fresh food from local producers is keept at 0°C to +2°C and distributed to local supermarkets. To keep the pre-packed fresh food at this specific temperature was a job that Voets & Donkers took up with great pleasure and completed in August 2015.
By choosing Temper as HTF you would gain:
High quality refrigeration system with very few disturbances, working with low pressure
Reduced size and weight of the air-coolers
Reduced dimensions of pipes and pumps when compared to glycol
Smaller CO2 Footprint as Temper is not based on petroleum
